A lot of experimentation went into finding just the right glass for this fiery jewelry. Red glass acts in surprising ways when heated - many turn orange or develop opaque streaks, but these Sundrops are made from one of the few red-colored glasses which stays true to color.

I use a unique solar heating process to sculpt this glass jewelry: by focusing sunshine through a 3-foot tall magnifying glass, I can generate temperatures of over 3000 ºF - more than enough to melt glass! Each Sundrop is handcrafted in the USA.
